Danièla Murrieta

Marriage and Family Therapist Associate

I provide a safe space for all thoughts, ideas, and beliefs. I believe people want to be understood in wanting to be free, truly free, even if it means changing the status quo of the mainstream culture.

They want help to untangle unhelpful patterns from the past, and want it from people who have gotten free themselves. I welcome all gender and sexual orientations, beliefs and racial/cultural backgrounds

I was drawn to the idea of being one who could sit in the existential passengers seat and help others navigate life with acceptance, curiosity and open-mindedness. I began as a very behaviorally-oriented practitioner but journeyed into a more transpersonal orientation due to my work as a yoga teacher and reiki practitioner. I am currently continuing my education in ancient healing modalities and look forward to bringing creative interventions into the therapy room.

Outside of being a therapist, I am interested in poetry, travel, learning keyboard, conversational french, horseback riding, meditation, post-punk, b-side horror films, art & interior design, working with herbs and reading; folk medicine and mythology are my focus of study lately.

I assist clients who are experiencing a range of presenting concerns, including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, codependency, self-esteem issues, Women’s Issues, Men’s Issues, body image issues and eating disorders, abortion and miscarriage, spiritual trauma, gender identity exploration, addiction recovery, grief, couples conflict, neurodivergence, premarital therapy, coparenting, life path work, abuse recovery and artists breaking creative blocks.
