Terms and conditions
Effective Date: May 18, 2026
Last Updated: May 18, 2026
Welcome to Insight Northwest Counseling (“Insight Northwest Counseling,” “INC,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions explain the general terms that apply when you use our website, contact our practice, communicate with us electronically, use our phone or AI-assisted phone systems, or opt in to receive text messages from us.
These Terms and Conditions are intended for public website use. They do not replace any clinical consent forms, treatment agreements, financial agreements, release-of-information forms, informed consent documents, or other paperwork that may apply if you become a client or patient of Insight Northwest Counseling.
Insight Northwest Counseling provides behavioral health services, including counseling, psychiatric medication management, psychological testing, and related administrative and care coordination services. An uploaded INC document describes Insight Northwest Counseling as helping individuals “discover truth, make connections, and live more meaningful lives,” with locations in Eugene and Portland, Oregon.
1. Use of Our Website
The information on our website is provided for general informational purposes only. Website content should not be considered medical advice, mental health advice, diagnosis, treatment, crisis support, or a substitute for speaking directly with a qualified professional.
Use of our website does not create a therapist-client, prescriber-client, psychologist-client, or other provider-client relationship with Insight Northwest Counseling.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, thoughts of self-harm, or feel unable to stay safe, call or text 988 or go to the nearest emergency room.
2. No Emergency Services Through Website, Text, Email, Voicemail, or AI Phone Systems
Insight Northwest Counseling’s website, text messaging, email, voicemail, online forms, and AI-assisted phone systems are not emergency services.
Do not use these communication methods for urgent or emergency needs.
If you need immediate help, call 911, go to the nearest emergency room, or call/text 988 for mental health crisis support.
3. Communications With Insight Northwest Counseling
You may communicate with us through phone calls, voicemail, email, text messaging, website forms, AI-assisted phone systems, secure platforms, or other communication tools.
Although we take reasonable steps to protect privacy, some communication methods may involve risks, including the possibility of delays, technical issues, misdirected messages, or unauthorized access. Please avoid submitting sensitive or urgent clinical information through general website forms, text messaging, voicemail, email, or AI-assisted phone systems unless specifically instructed by our team.
4. AI-Assisted Phone Systems
Insight Northwest Counseling may use AI-assisted phone systems to answer general questions, collect basic information, route calls, summarize messages, or notify staff when follow-up may be needed.
AI-assisted systems do not provide therapy, diagnosis, medication advice, psychological testing interpretation, crisis counseling, emergency services, or clinical decision-making.
Calls may be recorded, transcribed, summarized, or logged so our team can follow up accurately. By continuing to use an AI-assisted phone system after being notified that the system is AI-assisted and/or recorded, you acknowledge that information may be collected and routed for follow-up.
If you do not wish to interact with an AI-assisted phone system, you may contact Insight Northwest Counseling during business hours to speak with a staff member.
5. SMS/Text Messaging Terms
Insight Northwest Counseling may use SMS/text messaging for service-related communication. These messages may include:
Appointment reminders
Scheduling or callback coordination
Administrative follow-up
Care coordination
Provider availability updates
General practice-related communication
Responses to inquiries you submit to us
After-hours message routing or follow-up notifications
By providing your mobile phone number to Insight Northwest Counseling, submitting a form with your phone number, communicating with us by text, or otherwise opting in to receive text messages, you agree that Insight Northwest Counseling may send you service-related text messages at the number provided.
Message frequency may vary.
Message and data rates may apply.
Text messages may be sent using automated technology or third-party messaging platforms.
Consent to receive non-emergency text messages is not required as a condition of receiving healthcare services from Insight Northwest Counseling. However, opting out of text messaging may limit our ability to communicate with you by SMS.
6. SMS Opt-Out and Help Instructions
You may opt out of non-emergency text messages at any time by replying:
STOP
After you reply STOP, you may receive a confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed. After that, we will not send further non-emergency SMS messages to that number unless you opt back in or otherwise request SMS communication again.
For help, reply:
HELP

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Twilio identifies STOP and HELP instructions, message/data rates, message frequency, customer care contact information, and carrier liability language as common required components of SMS program terms.
7. Privacy and Mobile Information
Your use of our website, communications, AI-assisted systems, and text messaging is also governed by our Privacy Policy:

We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or text messaging consent information with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.
We may share information with service providers who help us send, receive, or manage communications, operate technology systems, support scheduling, maintain records, or provide related administrative services, but only as needed to support our services and operations and as permitted by law.
8. Healthcare and Clinical Limitations
Information provided through our website, text messaging, AI-assisted phone systems, or general communications is not a substitute for individualized clinical care.
Insight Northwest Counseling does not provide diagnosis, treatment recommendations, medication instructions, crisis counseling, or emergency intervention through general website content, SMS, email, voicemail, or AI-assisted phone systems.
For specific clinical questions, please contact your provider or the practice directly through the appropriate communication channel. For urgent or emergency concerns, call 911, call/text 988, or go to the nearest emergency room.
